🧠 Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1 (5–7 min)

Warm‑Up & Discussion  (Motivation+).

Let’s begin by sparking their curiosity! Open up a conversation about the technology they use and love at home. We want to get their energy flowing right from the start.

You can ask them things like:

  • “What are some ways technology makes your lives easier at home?”
  • “What cool, futuristic gadgets have you seen in movies that you wish you had?”

Keep the discussion light, fun, and full of energy. The goal is to encourage everyone to share a thought, no matter how small.

Now, it’s time to introduce the song! Tell them it’s called “Assistmate,” and here’s the fun twist: it’s a song about a smart helper in the house, and it was created entirely by AI! Play the first minute or so of the music video. Then, ask them how it feels. What’s the energy? What’s the vibe? Let them share all their first impressions.

TIPS & SUGGESTIONS: The real goal here is to make this session FULL of life and interaction. We want every single student to feel seen and heard. Remember, every opinion is a gift! We’re creating a safe space where exploring different ideas is what it’s all about.

Step 2 (5–7 min)

Introduce the key vocabulary: “rooms in a house.” Tell students these are the words they will need for the song and the text.

Play the vocabulary video to introduce the words and pronunciation.

After the video, do a quick recall activity with the class. Ask them what words they remember and what they mean.

[Verse 1]
Got this buddy everywhere I go
Never leaves me hangin', that's fo' sho
In my kitchen makin' coffee hot
In my bathroom when I'm on the spot
(Yeah!)

[Chorus]
My helper's here, my helper's there
Kitchen, bathroom, everywhere!
Bedroom, living room, it's tight
Garden, office, garage all night!
My helper's here, my helper's there
(La la la la!)
Kitchen, bathroom, everywhere!
(Oh yeah!)

[Verse 2]
In my bedroom when I wake up slow
Living room we chillin', that's the flow
Garden waterin' all my plants
Office got me covered, second chance
(What!)

[Chorus]
My helper's here, my helper's there
Kitchen, bathroom, everywhere!
Bedroom, living room, it's tight
Garden, office, garage all night!
My helper's here, my helper's there
(La la la la!)
Kitchen, bathroom, everywhere!

From the kitchen to the garage door
Every room and so much more
You and me, we make a team
Living life just like a dream

My helper's here, my helper's there
Kitchen, bathroom, everywhere!

🧩 Final Thoughts

So that’s Fun Musical Rooms! It’s a lesson that I believe truly brings together the best of so many worlds—the soul of music, the fun of AI, and the spark of pure creativity.

What I love about it is how all the skills just flow together in one session. We move naturally from listening and reading to really USING the new vocabulary in speaking and writing.

My hope is that you’ll find it easy to teach and adaptable for your own students. It’s all about creating one of those memorable lessons that really sticks. One musical room at a time!
